Gísli Einarsson

Gísli Einarsson is a financial engineer with experience in strategic analysis, financial modeling and complex operational initiatives across both public administration and private enterprise.
​
His analytical work includes financial risk analysis, value chain evaluation and financial engineering concepts such as Value at Risk (VaR) and currency swap structures, combined with strategic and operational advisory.
​
He has supported executive leadership and government institutions in analytical projects, digital system development and regulatory frameworks, as well as providing operational and financial advisory for private organizations.
His work focuses on combining engineering-based analysis with strategic advisory to support complex decision-making, implementation and long-term value creation.

He also works with a broad network of software developers, professors and researchers, collaborating on complex projects involving digital systems, green innovation and industrial development within energy and heavy industry.
Gísli is currently involved in the development of a research database related to moisture and mold damage in buildings. The project is a collaborative initiative involving the Housing and Construction Authority, Reykjavik University and the Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannís), aimed at strengthening knowledge, analysis and long-term understanding of building performance and structural conditions. The initiative aims to strengthen knowledge, data analysis and long-term understanding of building integrity and environmental conditions in the built environment.
